INTRO BUST
Welcome to DOUBLE CROSS - an online fanzine dedicated to the hardcore we love... past, present, and future. The goal is classic fanzine vibe and content, with stories, interviews, photos and more - updated every day through the week. While this might be a "blog," we want it to go beyond what that term typically represents.
And while we are undoubtedly straight edge and will put the best straight edge bands at the heart of this site, in no way does that mean we won't be featuring all of of our other favorite hardcore bands here as well.
Check out the below links for more info on us, as well as what we have been putting up here since beginning construction in March '08. Get in touch if you wanna contribute or just say what's up.

I find Harley a fascinating person....Ginsberg, Warhol, Strummer, Bad Brains, Minor Threat...dude was around for a lot of cultural happenings.

HaHa... Live and Let live. Regardless he's still a legend and been in it since he was a kid. Respect due. He probably did more shit by the age 14 then most of you assholes reading this can accomplish in your whole lifetime. Respect the past and keep it moving. The Cro-Mags are still fucking great with or with out! *John Joseph and Mackie get that dough!
Cro-Mags never did anything for me (I prefer some Brains), but Harley is a fucking character and he makes me LOL.
I sent Harley a Chorus 7" to the Rock House or Profile label PO Box one time in 92ish, expecting nothing. Just wanted at least one of those dude's to have it, explaining how they were a huge influence, yadda yadda. No more than 2 weeks later I got a letter back on Cro Mags stationary hand written by Harley stating how hard the 7" was, and was not something he expected from a Cali band, with all the posi-ness coming from Cali. He asked if I could send a few more (which I assume he wanted to sell) so I sent him 2 more and never heard from him again.
It was super classy of him to take the time to give me props in a hand written letter.
He is a personality and a NYC staple, and a fucking shredder on the bass.
The Cro Mags issues between him and JJ are theirs alone. I would like to see a 1. MMA fight between them, then a 2. Endurance challenge then 3. A set of each version of their Cro Mag incarnations. Best 2 out of three wins. Bury the hatchet come on tour with all original members and get paid and stoke the scene out.
Get that PMA boys, and let's do this.
