Straight Ahead, you know them, you love them and you can never get enough of them. I decided to do this little Straight Ahead tribute entry here. I've got a pile of flyers, ads, xeroxed photos and random tidbits of Straight Ahead material that I aquired from Duane Rossignol of Some Records, back when I was helping Ray Cappo with his New York Hardcore documentary. This is just a just a few of those flyers and a photo that I randomly found, so expect more Straight Ahead material to pop up in the future. "Cause we care, we'll do the best we can." -Tim DCXX

Straight Ahead was amazing. That is one 12" from my hardcore days I'll never get rid of.
Wow..just wanted to edit my commented and it got deleted. In that picture, BJ Pappas is over Tommy's fist and Wynn sitting on the edge of the stage.
Somehow I ended up picking up the 12 inches from the record broker with Duane and took them down to Some. With two handtrucks. On the 6 subway line. Up those long stairs at Astor Place. My payment for that backbreaking work: the first copy of the record.
I was overpaid. By a lot.
I wasn't ever a t-shirt collector, but I still have my Straight Ahead 3/4 sleeve "baseball jersey". Nobody but Straight Ahead made those then, and I don't think since.
Damn...I don't even have the first two flyers on the post and I thought Duane gave me everything! I can even begin to say how Straight Ahead was a great band...Dave K.
