That was utterly phenomenal.
Need to watch 5 more times to digest everything properly. Good shit, Pops.
why is there this sense of it all being kinda like funny and light? was it all just entertainment? is it all still just entertainment?
there's this whole "LOL!" vibe about it all...like "yot were cool man! but now...hmm...let's do a shot!! here's to porkle LOL! stand hard bro!!! but no for real...I love YOT! i think! wait, LOL!"
makes you think about what was going on back in the 80's/90's....cant even believe its 2011-
Love the "matter of fact" look at HC, Anthony is gifted in everything he gets into...this is just another example. its a 'fiat lux'
I agree with anonymous. YOT is important and cool. Period. I don't see the need for the ironic distance from the subject matter. Those who can't accept hardcore on its own terms (as something more than the weird fetish you indulged before you got a real job) don't need to know about it.
Hi
I think you guys are mixed up, the only irony here is Supreme (a druggie streetwear company) or Terry Richardson (a subversive, pornographic photographer) appropriating YOT's graphics or wearing their shirt.
I'm just telling a story, and I don't have a "real" job either I'm still a jerk off.
There's a big difference between irony and wit, I might have failed at being witty to you but there's no irony here.
Thanks for watching though.
Great stuff. It would be better though if the narrator slowed down his pace a little. Talked a little too fast. But great none the less.
PUKE
A sad fact widely known
The most impassionate song
To a lonely soul
Is so easily outgrown
But don’t forget the songs
That made you smile
And the songs that made you cry
When you lay in awe
On the bedroom floor
And said : "oh, oh, smother me
mother..."
No ...
Rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber
ring
La ...
The passing of time
And all of it’s crimes
Is making me sad again
The passing of time
And all of it’s sickening crimes
Is making me sad again
But don’t forget the songs
That made you cry
And the songs that saved your life
Yes, you’re older now
And you’re a clever swine
But they were the only ones who ever stood by
you
The passing of time leaves empty lives
Waiting to be filled (the passing ...)
The passing of time
Leaves empty lives
Waiting to be filled
I’m here with the cause
I’m holding the torch
In the corner of your room
Can you hear me ?
And when you’re dancing and laughing
And finally living
Hear my voice in your head
And think of me kindly
No ...
Rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber
ring
La ...
No ...
Rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber
ring
Do you
Love me like you used to ?
Oh ...
Rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber ring, rubber
ring
La ...
You’re clever
Everybody’s clever nowadays
You’re clever
Everybody’s clever nowadays
You are sleeping
You do not want to believe
You are sleeping
You do not want to believe
You are sleeping
You do not want to believe
You are sleeping
"Those who can't accept hardcore on its own terms"
AKA your terms?
I think AP's body of work suggests he's accepted hardcore's terms just fine.
Anthony Pappalardo is moron and this is another bad try to get another 5 min. of fame.
yawn
I thought this was a little cheesy at first but then I realized I completely related with 99% of it.
That was awesome. Though everybody's story is different, it's also interesting to see how much everybody has in common.
Well, I don't actually consider this is likely to have success.
