Sick Of It All - "Injustice System"

By no means a new video here, but in my opinion, one hell of a classic well worth revisiting. I remember first seeing this pop up on Headbangers ball back in '89 and taping it to watch it over and over and over again. Back in '89 when my friends and I weren't at shows doing our stage dives, we'd all hang out at my parent's house, put on videos like this and dive like idiots on top of each other on the sofa. From that point on "Injustice System" easily became one of my favorite Sick Of It All songs. Those early '89 era Sick Of It All shows at City Gardens were just incredible, the band had and energy level that was almost unmatched and the crowd ate it up. Sick Of It All definitely raised the bar high for how a band's stage presence should be. At one point I'm sure I had done more stage dives during Sick Of It All sets than any other band of the time.

And for good measures, a little Sick Of It All footage from the Superbowl of Hardcore at the new Ritz in NYC, January 1991 off the In-Effect video. Now go G.I. Joe Headstomp through your Friday and into the weekend. -Tim DCXX

I have a SOIA tramp stamp circa 1990. No regrets.

Injustice System, along with Anthem and I Against I, were the first looks at real HC bands for many, many kids, including myself.

I always think it's a shame that SOIA on record never live up to SOIA live. I know that's a given for most HC bands and the better live they are the more likely that is, but still.

Hard Core does not seem to translate well on videos.

SOIA at the ritz for that Superbowl was absolutely insane. Probably one of the more violent shows they played. Remember arriving to what seemed to be gang members in wheelchairs waiting in line!?! Some very sketchy people in attendance that night. I was psyched that Vision brought about an amazing response too. People were going crazy for them.

Anybody here at the Phila show at the Troc where SOIA opened for Nasty Savage and DRI? THAT show was sick! Most of the metal dudes had no idea who they were, and totally unprepared for total dancefloor destruction. I remember right before they played, these two metal guys were cracking up over Arand's drum set. They were like "where's the rest of it? He's only got like two toms!"
