The NY Hardcore Dance Styles Handbook

Following up from yesterday's memorable show entry from Chickie of Ludichrist / Sheer Terror, today I received this piece from Chickie which I felt was worthy of an entry.

Chickie says he picked this up at a CB's matinee back in the 80's at some point. I had never seen it before, but recognized that is was done by Tom O'Hara of Combat Stance Fanzine fame / infamy. Check it out, hope you get a laugh out of it, I know I did. Thanks again to Chickie for the contribution. -Tim DCXX

I remember being at Jon Hiltz's when Tom & Phil were putting this together. When they gave them to the SOIA and Token Entry guys, you should have seen the look on their faces. It was a big hit....

I used to have a copy of this but it's long gone. I think Negative Noah still has one and we've been bugging him for years to copy it. This is the first physical copy I've seen in a long time. Most people think this booklet is an urban legend because you never see them.

Two commments...

1. Is the clothes line in there?

2. Thank god I am from the West Coast where we don't "Dance"!

Hey! This is really cool to see. I made it! I have the original master still. If anyone wants a copy I might be willing to make them one.

Would you believe this was a project for my graphics class and my teacher failed me for not following the directions properly? It's legendary anyway and as you can see from Dave's comment here I gave it to SOIA. THEN came their video for Step Down.

I'll make up 25 more next time I'm at Kinko's. If anyone wants one paypal $3 with your address to minimalism909@yahoo.com They will be shipped in a sturdy envelope and not folded, other than the one normal booklet crease.

Seem fair?

I have all four Combat Stance masters too, and can print them up but the price would have to be discussed for those.
