My senior year yearbook quote was: "I'm like him, just you, we've all got nothing to live up to, there's no way out of the race, but you dump your hopes and dreams just to keep up the pace." That really captured how I was feeling way back then. I remember reading an interview with Anthony, I think it was in Boiling Point Fanzine. He said he was straight edge, but didn't understand why people stipulated that to be straight edge one must also be 'positive.' He cited Negative Approach as an example of a band that was straight edge but not at all positive. I agreed with this statement then as I do now. Was the YOT song 'Positive Outlook' the beginning of the 'posi movement?
