Smalley saying that the reunion in Revere was the only time they were ever going to play again.......... yeah, another pathetic and embarrassing turn on those words.

Anastas was the driving force behind these two shows. Looks like a tour of Europe is on the horizon!

Good for DYS and their fans. Fuck the luddites jerking off on their TAANG! reissues dreaming about having "been there" in the first place who hang on the words of their to validate their own beliefs.

@Anonymous 12/20, 12PM:

The story here is pretty simple. We planned August expecting it to be the only show, a one-time thing to support Duane and Drew's film, our city, our scene and fans who wanted to see us. There was no grand plan. We had no idea how it was going to go, how it was going to feel, if anyone was even going to show up.

Based on what they saw, a week after the reunion show, the Bosstones asked us personally to play with them at the13th annual Throwdown. We were honored to play with long-time friends/supporters, again in a celebration of the Boston scene (Hell, it's called the "Hometown Throwdown").

Once that was booked, I asked the question "well, the band is already together that week, what else can we do?"

We had really been blown away by the NYC support of the August show, they sent a bus up, made t-shirts, etc. NYC has also always been a very important city for Hardcore. So, we said "let's play NYC too!"

As a reminder, not being a full time touring band, there are a lot of expenses in doing these shows: travel, equipment and truck rentals, sound and tech crew, rehearsal space rental. We try to put as much as we can toward making sure we sound as good as we can for the fans. I can promise you, no one in DYS is looking at this band like an ATM, no one is pocketing big money.

We're looking a a few options for 2011. Nothing is set in stone, nothing is off the table either. We'll do the things that feel right to us, we'll try to do things that make for the most fun experiences for our fans.

Please take us at our intentions and at what we deliver, not our literal words. We had no idea we'd have been playing in front of 1,000+ people when we agreed to the August show and we had no idea we'd be asked to play the Throwdown.

You'll all know as soon as we make decisions.

Support and even the questions are appreciated.

Gotta admit the "Smalley 324 kids" comment was funny as fuck. I'm glad that we are playing these upcoming shows together my old friend it's going to be a lot of fun and that's a damn good reason to be playing music at this point.

Give us a break. It is not about money. It is about being something more than money: having integrity, knowing when it is important to have a band and when to realize that you have to be brave and say it is over, move one.

You guys sold out and not for money, you sold out for a plane ticket and the sounds of people shouting you name.

Nigel os Spinal Tap: It's number five, last week, actually. So, he asked me, to ask you, Tap, if you would be interested in reforming and, uh, doing a tour of Japan.

DYS IS DEAD.

Hmmm, many bands tour without all that "sound and tech crew" crap and still blow OLDYS off stage.

Yes and the same can be said about Limp Bizkit concerts. I thought punk rock was different. It ain't.
