Brand new tour bus with tons of space, my own bunk, nice hotels to stay at on off days, catered food every night. All that said, it's pretty back breaking work being a roadie/sound tech. I did it as a "vacation" from my day job. It was no vacation ;-) but compared to touring punk rock style, it was true luxury as far as food and accommodations.

- GregAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2768432211492653817.post-14743114700517682472009-02-27T10:32:00.000-05:002009-02-27T10:32:00.000-05:00My best friend for the last 14 years is a professi...My best friend for the last 14 years is a professional drummer (which is another reason why I enjoyed reading this post) and let me just say that if your band's drummer isn't up to snuff, you may as well not even bother playing out 'cuz you'll get booed off the stage (or worse).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2768432211492653817.post-48437399416737236102009-02-27T03:55:00.000-05:002009-02-27T03:55:00.000-05:00Really cool. That place had the biggest chandeliers I've ever seen. I can't imagine one of those things falling. Also, the balcony is really, really high, and I've always wondered if anyone had jumped off it. It was a pretty mindblowing experience that would take up way too much room here. Let's just say years later, I came to the realization witnessing O.F was the closest I would ever come to seeing '73 era Hawkwind w/o having to take bad acid.200lbuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08328941794984484814noreply@blogger.com
